Subject: DAOS and restore
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: DAOS
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

I've just seen in log.nsf that a document in one of our DAOS enabled databases has been deleted by compact due to a "Document attachment is invalid".

I need to restore this document from a backup but I don't want to restore the whole database from backup because there are a lot of new documents and changes.

I've restored the database locally, not on the server, so I could copy & paste the deleted document after removing the corrupted attachment but because the DB is not on the server now, I get an error "The object store database is disabled".

I am afraid to restore the database to another directory on the server in case DAOS gets confused by 2 databases pointing to the same DAOS objects.

How could I do this? Copy the deleted document from the backup database to the current database after removing the corrupted attachment?

Many thanks in advance

Mael
